Greetings, thank you for stopping by :D

My name is Abi and I am a human person, who exists. I have taken my love of information and sensation into the work of creating art, fashion and events; sometimes combining all three. My educational background is in Psychology (Hon. BSc.) and International Development (post grad). I’ve trained in 1-on-1, community and participatory facilitation. 

My interest in trying to deeply understand the inner workings of people and their systems of being is evident throughout my work. There is a time for surface level interactions, which I respect and welcome. BUT I’m concerned with the inner worlds that inform our day to day lives.

Through this site, you’ll find a variety of events and art pieces, which function as confessional space for me, and if it resonates with you, for you too.

I'm a lover of balance. I want to explore the good and the bad. I want to include all people (regardless of their identity characteristics). I want there to be peace on earth.
So this is my go at trying to make that happen. I’m aware this sounds naive. Feel free to ask me about it.

To me, life is about presence. To engage with the messiness of life and make space for the complexity.
I don’t want to transcend this space, want to inscend¹. It is a challenge not to get distracted in our time of overstimulation. Being aware of what is around us, and soaking in the vividness of the ephemeral, that is part of the pleasure to Be In Colour.

¹Thomas Berry used the term "inscendence" to describe the process of deeply immersing oneself in the natural world and its depths, as opposed to transcendence, which he associated with rising above or escaping from the world.
