About the event

There’s a lot of talk about loneliness and thankfully these discussions have generated many initiatives like walking associations, topic focused meetups, dinner groups and silent reading clubs. These things have worked for many. But there are some of us who still feel the lingering effects of loneliness deep in our bones; and as the famous book goes, the body is keeping score.
For this event series, The Body of Loneliness, Be In Colour’s Sin-Eating Fiend Abi & Personality Psychology Coach Joyce Meng will explore how different parts of our body hold and express loneliness. In this session we will be focusing on what’s above the shoulders: the ears and eyes. This will be a deeply immersive and interactive session. Through guided exercises, sensory exploration, and embodied practices, we'll discover how our eyes and ears both contribute to and can help heal our experience of isolation.
